Eleonora Huseynova: Azerbaijan-UNESCO working group to identify new prospects of cooperation
Specific perspectives of the future cooperation of Azerbaijan with UNESCO will be identified at the forthcoming first sitting of the working group, the representative of Azerbaijan to UNESCO Huseynova told Trend exclusively.
According to Huseynova, 4 UNESCO experts and one representative of the UNESCO Moscow branch will visit Baku to take part in the sitting in Baku.
Two conferences were arranged in 2005 on the initiative of UNESCO, dedicated to the development of education in Azerbaijan. The first conference was held in Paris in June 2005, the second one вЂ" in Baku in August with the participation of the UNESCO director general Koishiro Matsuura. The Memorandum on Cooperation between Azerbaijan an UNESCO was signed also at the Baku conference.
The cooperation of Azerbaijan with UNESCO covers the following projects: вЂњEducation for AllвЂќ, вЂњAssociative SchoolsвЂќ, вЂњDevelopment of Vocational EducationвЂќ, вЂњInclusive EducationвЂќ, вЂњEstablishment of UNESCO chairs at the higher educational institutionsвЂќ.
