“The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs studies approval of opening of the Kars (Turkey)-Gumry (Armenia) railway line by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (PABSECO),” Mahmud Mammadguliyev, the Deputy Foreign Minister, told Trend in an exclusive interview. He was commenting the report on adoption of recommendation at the next session of the General Assembly of the PABSECO in Tiran.
According to Mamadguliyev, the further action of the Ministry will depend on the results of the study.
The Armenian delegation participated in the session of the General Assembly of the BSECO used the absence of Azerbaijani delegation and raised the issue of opening of Kars-Gumry railway line that led to adoption of recommendations
“The recommendations of the General Assembly on opening of the line is invalid,” Azerbaijan MP Shaitdin Aliyev, also the chairman of the PABSECO Committee, said.
