Trend“The public council will be established under the Azerbaijani Justice Ministry,” law-defender Chingiz Ganiyev told Trend.
“The activities of the Council of Public Control of Penal System were postponed after dismission of Aydin Gasimov, the head of the Central Department of Execution of Court Sentences. Fikrat Mammadov, the Justice Minister, held a meeting on reforming of public council. The working group was established in this regard, but the parliamentary elections and exams for judges delayed the issue,” he stressed.
He also added that repeated meeting of the Justice Ministry on the issue would be held in the nearest time.
