According to the joint action plan approved between the Interior Ministries of Azerbaijan and Russia a number of operating events under the agreed name Border has been held at the frontier areas, the press service of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan told Trend.
Special operating events led by the deputy Interior Minister of Azerbaijan, the police general mayor Vilayat Eyvazov and deputy Interior Minister of Dagestan Republic of Russia Abiddin Karchikafevin have been held in Gakh, Balakan, Zagatali, Sheki, Oguz, Gusar, Hachmaz and Gabala districts.
As a result of it, 4 persons wanted on various articles of the Criminal Code have been detained, 6 illegally possessed sub-machine guns, 3 pistols, 24 weapons, 25 hand grenades, 1,200 kg of trotyl (TNT), over 30,000 of various caliber cartridges have been seized, 225 administrative protocols have been compiled on various breaks of the law.
Upon completion of the events delegations of the both states met at the border of Dagestan and Gusari, held talks on the results and found it expedient to carry out such actions in future.
