No principle changes were observed in the structure of oil production. Data by SOCAR testify on inconsiderable drop in oil and gas production. In January to September 2005 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 8,210,900 tons of oil from onshore and offshore fields or 20,400 less as compared 2004. The onshore and offshore oil and gas producing units (OGPU) of the SOCAR produced a total of 7306.5 tons of oil, or 54,700 tons (or 0.7%) down as compared to 2004.
In January to November 2005 the foreign companies under the joint ventures and operating companies lifted 904,400 tons of oil, or 34,300 tons (or 3.9%) more as compared 2004.
In January to November 2005 gas production amounted 5241.1 million cu m of natural gas, or 663.8 million cu m (or 14.5%) more than 2004. 3590.4 million cu m of gas production fell to the SOCAR, which is 71.6 million cu m less than 2004. JVs and OCs produced 96.2 million cu m of gas in this period, or 16.5 million cu m less than 2004. The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) produced 1650.7 million cu m of associate gas, or 735.4 million cu m of fuel more as compared 2004

Baku-based oil refinery plants, including the Heydar Aliyev State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Azerneftyag, increased the production of major oil products in January to November 2005 as compared to 2004 and produced 6651,400 tons of different oil products, or 5427,400 tons more than 2004.
The production of gasoline went up by 5.4%, avia kerosene -15.7%, fuel mazut 20.9%, diesel mazut 16.2%, oil bitumen 21%, naphta - 22.7%, the State Statistics Committee told Trend. Only production of the lubrications decreased by 7.3%.

In January to November 2005 the Department of the Marketing and Economic Operations (DMEO) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 915,800 tons of various oil products from the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (former Azerneftyanajag), or 68,400 tons more as compared 2004.
In November the export of oil products by DMEO SOCAR was 94,700 tons, or 12,400 tons more as compared October 2005.
According to SOCAR, in November the oil products were sold at the following prices in the world market (FOB MED (Italy)): gasoline $482,56 per ton (-$83.34 per ton against October price), jet kerosene $537.84 per ton (-$86.48 per ton), diesel fuel - $495,63 per ton (-$73.88 per ton), the price of 1 ton of mazut was $277.48 per ton (-$23.01 per ton).

2. . Power engineering
In January to November 2005 Azerenergy produced over 20,051 billion kW/hour of energy. The thermo-power stations produced 17,359bn KW/h of the total, while hydro-power station - 2,692bn KW/h.
In November Azerenergy produced over 2,042 billion kW/hour of energy. Hydropower stations produced 296 million kW/hour of energy, while the thermo-power stations 1.746bn KW/h
3. Chemical industry
Azerkimya state company increased production of some chemical products, particularly, caustic sodium (2.9%), oxide of chlorine (14.3%) and nitrogen (15%) in January to November 2005 as compared to 2004.
