Reps of parties in minority in Parliament to be elected to CEC at Parliament
The representative of the parties in minority in the Milli Majlis [Parliament] will be elected to the Central Election Committee (CEC) at the Milli Majlis, MP Sabir Hajiyev, the chairman of the Civil Solidarity Party, told Trend.
The number of the parties in minority in the Milli Majlis is equal to 11. In accordance with article 24 of the Elections Code, 6 representatives of these parties must enter CEC.
Hajiyev reported that each party was due to direct its representative to CEC. Only 6 of them will be elected at the Milli Majlis. Though I dont know the form of the election, it is due to be held in objective way, he added.
Hajiyev also stressed that the term given to the parties to direct their representatives was prolonged by 5 more days. The parties in majority in the Milli Majlis, the parties in minority in Miolli Majlis and n non-party MPs are due to be represented at CEC in sixes.
