Every of two conferences leave ANIP without chair
The Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIP) held two conferences last Sunday separately. The conference convened by the leader of the Party Etibar Mammadov, was held at the Khatai Culture Palace, while the forum held the chairman of the party, Ali Aliyev - at the conference hall of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP).
The conference held under the leadership of Etibar Mammadov gathered 215 members of the party. The issue of impeachment of the chairman was put for secrete vote. With the majority of votes (210) Aliyev was removed from the post of the chairman. The next conference of the ANIP was scheduled for April 2006.
A conference convened by Ali Aliyev was held with 116 delegates. The Central Board of the party and the Central Disciplinary Commission was disbanded and formed anew. The forum also injected some changes to the Charter of the party and removed an Article envisaging the establishment of the post of leader. Thus, Etibar Mammadovs authorities as a leader were ceased.
