The number f candidates running up for by-elections on 13 May 2006 in 10 constituencies reached 52 people, the Central Election Committee (CEC) told Trend.
37 people from 52, whose candidacy was approved, took their signature lists from the constituency electoral commissions before 24 January. Out of 52 candidates, 4 of them are members of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), 2 members of the Musavat party, 1- member of the Adalyat party, 1 member of the Great Azerbaijan party, the rest are independent.
