Ilham Aliyev: Big progress observed lately in Azerbaijani-Russian relations

During the latest period a big progress is observed in the relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in a statement today while receiving the vice Premier, the Russias Defense Minister Sergey Ivanov, Trend reports, citing the ITAR-TASS news agency.

"Mutual relations of Azerbaijan and Russia are specified as good neighborly and friendly, they develop dynamically, the goods turnover is achieved , the head of the Azerbaijan state said.

In the view of Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani-Russian cooperation may serve as the model for other countries. We are satisfied with the level of mutual understanding and in future we suppose to enhance our cooperation in all fields, including the military sphere, president underscored.

According to Ivanov, preparations of the Vladimir Putins visit to Azerbaijan started. "Relations between Russia and Azerbaijan in political, economic, cultural, military fields develop dynamically, the head of the Russias Defense Ministry said. He underlined particularly that Moscow and Baku are disposed to the strengthening of cooperation in military and military technical fields. Some positive moves have been made in this regard, Ivanov noted. "Security in Caucasus, on the Caspian and in the region on the whole depends on our common approaches, including the Middle East, where the situation, unfortunately, is far from being stable so far, the Russian Minister stressed.
