The second sitting of the working group on establishing the National Association of municipalities of Azerbaijan (NAMA) will start its work on 8 February in Baku. The members of the group will discuss the issues of the NAMA establishing project during two days, Trend reports citing the secretariat of the Congress of the local and regional authorities of the Council of Europe.
In the first sitting of the working group on 8-9 December 2005 in Baku officials from the Justice Ministry of Azerbaijan, representatives from the municipalities, as well as experts of the Congress took part.
NРђРњРђ will be set up till the end of 2007 under the immediate support of the Norwegian government involving also the Congress of local authorities and regional authorities of the Council of Europe.
Azerbaijan is represented at this Congress by 6 delegates.
