No issue on changes to the Elections Code of Azerbaijan will be discussed. The Code remains in force in its current form, Trend quoted Oktai Asadov, the Speaker, as stating to the local private television ATV.
During the recent parliamentary sitting Milli Majlis [parliament] will discuss issue linked with the Central Elections Commission, whereas the Elections Code will not be a topic of discussions.
Speaking on non-participation of some opposition MPs in the parliamentary Sittings, the speaker said that every MP mandate was supported by approximately 40,000 electors and the oppositionist ought to respect citizens choice.
I hope MPs will participate in the spring session of Milli Majlis of the third convocation. The speaker underlined.
