The Microsoft corporation will announce its representative agency official opening in Azerbaijan till late February, it has been reported during the meeting of the Azerbaijan Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan (CIT) Ali Abbasov with the corporation executives in Lisbon, according to Trend.
It will be the companys first office in Trans-Caucasus after available representative offices in Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine.
The Microsoft representative office in Azerbaijan has been already established and the staff of 3 persons is already functioning, the AZEL (Azerbaijan Electronics) company, the corporations official partner told Trend. В"However, the official opening of the office is scheduled for February 2006. The exact date has not been set yet, AZEL underscored.
The issue of the Microsoft office opening in Azerbaijan has been voiced for the first time in June 2005 by the spokesman of the corporations department on business development with partners in CIS states, Yuri Omelchenko. The company has taken a decision to develop business in CIS countries, especially in Azerbaijan, which has been facilitated by the general economic state in the country and which had been studied by the specialists and identified as positive for the business development.
