Musavat Party made a decision on participation in the by-elections to Parliament, scheduled for 13 May 2006, at the meeting of the supreme board on Monday, Trend reports.

The meetings discussed social-political situation, forthcoming tasks of the party and the action plan for 2006, as well as preparations for next congress.

In their remarks, the members of the supreme board mentioned necessity of participation of Musavat in the work of the Parliament and the by-elections. The issue was put to the vote, where 64 people voted for, 9 - against, 6 abstained from voting.

The supreme board decided to discuss the issue of representation of Musavat Party in the newly-formed Central Election Committee (CEC) at Divan (Assembly) of the party. Musavat also approved the action plan for 2006 and made a decision on holding of congress in May-June.
