Ziyafet Askerov: Final Declaration of international conference Reforms and Strategies on Cooperation in Tbilisi did not meet state interests of Azerbaijan

The Final Declaration of the International Conference on the subject Reforms and Strategies on cooperation in Tbilisi, organized by joint efforts of the George Marshall Center and the Georgian Parliament has not been adopted due to the refusal of the Azerbaijan delegation to sign the document, the head of the Azerbaijan delegation, the first vice Speaker of the Parliament (Milli Mejlis), Ziafet Askerov said today, Trend reports, citing the ANS TV channel.

According to him, the clauses of the Declaration stipulated regional cooperation development of the three South Caucasus states under the support and direct mediation of the international organizations. However, until the Armenian occupation of 20 % of the Azerbaijan areas is still going on it is premature to speak of any cooperation with this state.

В"Any cooperation between Azerbaijan and Armenia is out of the question, which has been also stated, Askerov noted.

At the conference deputies of parliaments from South Caucasus and Baltic states took part in the conference.
