The date of the next congress of Muasir Musavat Party will be determined at the meeting of the political board of the organiztaion on 20 February, Hafiz Hajiyev, the chairman of the party, told Trend.
According to Hajiyev, the dictrict branches hold conferences in Baku to elect delegates of the next congress. Then the conferences will continue in the regions of the country. Hajiyev stressed that the congress was planned for March. The event will consider organizing issues, elect new deputy chairmen and secretaries, he added.
In late February the party plans to hold a meeting in large. Hajiyev also said that the party would not participate in the by-elections on 13 May 2006.
