The issues of monitoring the parliamentary by-elections in Azerbaijan will be discussed at the sitting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) sitting in eraly March, the head of the Azerbaijan delegation to PACE, the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on international relations and intfer-parliamentary ties Samed Seyidov said, Trend reports.
The observation mission is expected to be headed by Leo Plattvoed who headed the PACE mission of 47 people in the 6 November parliamentary elections.
According to Seyidov, democratic and transparent by-elections are also important for Azerbaijan, as it is the matter affecting the countrys international image. The complete composition of the Central Election Committee of Azerbaijan (CEC) and the countrys delegation to PACE will be formed after by-elections.
