President of Israel Moshe Katsav sent a letter to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, deputy chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations Malcolm Hoenline, being in Baku on a visit, who handed over the letter to the President told journalists, Trend reports.
According to him, in his message the head of the Israel state invites Azerbaijan to expand bilateral political and economic relations. The letter notes, Israel is ready to assume such commitments, he underlined.
During the meeting with the President of Azerbaijan the issue of the Azerbaijan Embassy opening in Tel-Aviv has been discussed. В"President of Azerbaijan assured us the issue is under consideration by the government, Hoenline reported.
The issue of the energy resources transportation from Azerbaijan to Israel has been also raised. В"There are large perspectives for the issue, it may be advantageous both for Azerbaijan and Israel, he stated.
