Japan stands for freedom of expression throughout the world, however, it does not accept any attacks on religious feelings of people, the Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan, Tadahiro Abe commented today the official Tokyo position on publication of the cartoons on the prophet Mohammed, Trend reports.

В"It is a very sensitive subject. We sorry, that such facts took place in the world media, the Ambassador said, noting although his country backs freedom of speech, as one of the fundamental human rights respect to representatives of other confessions is also important.

The Ambassador voiced also the stance of Japan in regard to the bird virus detection in Azerbaijan. According to him, Japan is ready to assist Baku and for the moment the issue is scrutinized.
