Azeri government holds negotiations with ADB on allocation of $5m for struggle with bird flu, Abbas Abbasov

The Azerbaijani government holds negotiations with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on allocation of $5m loan tranche to prevent spreading of bird flu, Abbas Abbasov, the 1st Vice-Primer of the Azerbaijani government, said to journalists on Friday, Trend reports.

According to Abbasov, the negotiations are held at the instructions of the head of the country and the Azerbaijani government is currently working on development of the special project on struggle with bird flu in this regard.

Abbasov also noted that the UN childish fund (UNICEF) put forward proposal on rendering of support to Azerbaijan.

Effective struggle with bird flu requires appropriate technique, first of all spraying machines. We work in this direction as well, the 1st Vice-Primer said. He noted that they need $16m to carry out the planned work on struggle with the infection.
