20 members of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party nominated independently their candidacies for the by-elections scheduled for 13 May 2006, Azer Sariyev, the spokesman for the Central Elections Commission (CEC), told Trend.
Sariyev said that 5 member of the NAP nominated their candidacies from the Second Binagadi Constituency9, 3 from Second Surakhani 31, 1 - the Second Ganja-Nizami 38, 3 Sumgayit 42, 2 Sumgayit-Absheron 44, 2 Zakatala 110, 3 Tovuz-Kazakh-Agstafa 106, 1 Jalilabad-Bilasuvar-Masally 69, 2 Gedebey constituency 103.
The ruling party did not register any candidate in Agdam Rural Constituency Commission 19.
