Inter-governmental negotiations in large with participation of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia took place

The wide Azerbaijani-Russian inter-governmental negotiations have been held today in Baku with participation of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia, Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin. Opening the talks Ilham Aliyev voiced his satisfaction by todays meeting tete-a-tete held with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. The head of the Azerbaijan state said there were discussions, both on the issues of the bilateral cooperation and the regional ties. Equal positions are observed on all subjects discussed, he noted.

Aliyev said, economic development of the both countries is going on dynamically, new perspective lines are opening which also facilitate cooperation in other fields. President of Azerbaijan has no doubts, after the visit the relations between the countries will strengthen more. В"It meets our national interests, Aliyev summarized.

Vladimir Putin said earlier there had been discussions on complicated international issues and the Karabakh problem. According to him, today he had also a comprehensive conversation on a wide range of issues with his Azerbaijani counterpart.

Touching upon the issue of economic links development the President of the Russian Federation said, the sides reached the level of the goods turnover which they had agreed upon 2 years ago, ahead of the scheduled time. According to him, the volume of the Azerbaijani- Russian goods turnover is 1 billion USD and its growth tempos are 40%, which proves that the sides are on the right way.
