The Baku Central Police Department held a meeting on Monday to discuss tasks arising from the Presidents decree on improvement of transport system in Baku, Trend reports referring to Vagif Asadov, the head of the Public Relations Division of the State Traffic Police Department.
A great number of cars and violation of traffic regulations by drivers continue complicate the work of the traffic police.
The participants of the meeting heard out the reports by the chiefs of police on the measures, taken over the last month to eliminate violation of traffic regulations.
The number of the accidents, leading to death of foot-passengers mainly at central streets, did not reduce. Some proposals were put forward on construction of circular roads.
Attending the event were representatives of the district police departments and the Prosecutor Office of Baku.
