Next meeting of Azeri-Pakistani intergovernmental commission postponed till autumn

The next meeting of the Azerbaijani-Pakistani intergovernmental commission, planned for February-March 2006, was postponed till autumn, Trend reports referring to diplomatic sources.

In the framework of the meeting the sides intend to discuss development of the bilateral cooperation in the economic sphere. In particularly, they will discuss possibility of increase of goods turnover up to $100m or $200m, which was entrusted to sides during the official visits of Presidents to Baku and Islamad. The meeting of intergovernmental commission will also consider organization of mutual visits of businessmen for setting more close economic ties.

The Azerbaijan chairman is Yagub Eyyubov, the first Vice-Primer, the Pakistani chairman - Nuraiz Shakur Khan, the Oil Minister.
