Official visit of Azerbaijani President to Japan over

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev completed his official visit to Japan in the Saturday morning and returned to Baku, Trend reports.

During the visit started on 7 March the head of the country held meetings with Japanese Emperor Akikhito, Primer Junichiro Koizumi, Foreign Minister Taro Aso, and President of the Japanese International Agency Sadako Agata. Besides, Aliyev participated in the Azerbaijani-Japanese economic forum, visited the Azerbaijani embassy in Tokyo and held negotiations with the management of the Japanese Foreign Trade Organization.

In the framework of the visit the Azerbaijani President gave an interview to NHK TV Corp., received heads of some well-known companies and banks of Japan.

On the last day of the official visit the signing ceremony of bilateral documents was held at the residence of the Japanese Primer. Aliyev and Koizumi signed joint declaration on further development of friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan.

Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev and Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Tadahiro Abe signed agreement on technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Tadahiro Abe - cooperation program between the Foreign Ministries of the countries.
