Agitation period for the parliamentary candidates is starting in Tuesday, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) told Trend.
154 candidates will take part in the parliamentary elections that will be held in 10 constituencies of the country. Each of the candidates has received 200 new Azeri manats (1mnl of old Azeri manats) to spend on the agitation and propaganda campaign. Candidates are not allowed to have free agitation in the state owned media. Only paid agitation in media is allowed during the repeating elections. Meetings with the voters, spreading of posters and different agitation materials are among the allowed means of pre-electoral agitation.
