The Shemakha law enforcement forces will receive necessary statements regarding the trees cutting down in the district, minister of Ecology and Natural resources Huseyn Bagirov told Trend.
The Minister stated that pressing measures are being undertaken now to tackle this problem. Despite the fact the given process does not have the mass character yet, it has to be stopped anyway, Bagirov said. People destroying the forest resources will be punished.
More than 300 employees of the forestry were fired from their jobs on these grounds last year. 26 of them occupied senior positions.
