Asim Mollazade, the chairman of the Democratic Reforms Party (DRP), met with Emi Shultz, the Director of the U.S. National Democratic Institute (NDI) on Azerbaijan. The sides discussed the public-political situation in the country, party-establishment, the forthcoming by-elections to parliament, DRP told Trend. DRP and NDI also touched upon the bilateral cooperation.
On the same day Mollazade met with the activists of the Sumgayit branch of the party. The meeting concerned the issues related to the forthcoming re-run elections to parliament. They discussed organization of the election campaign of the candidates from the party, activities of the members of the party and tasks in this respect, as well as approved the plan in this direction.
It should be mentioned that from the Sumgayit branch of DRP Yusif Salmanov ballots in Sumgayit constituency 42, Tofig Yadigarov - Sumgayit-Absheron constituency 44. The both candidates for the Milli Majlis [Parliament] are registered by the Central Election Committee (CEC).
