Airline carrying out flights from Turkey to Armenia is private - Mujgan Suver

Turkey does not have air communications with Armenia in official level, Trend reports quoting Mujgan Suver, the chair of Committee on Human Rights and European Union of the Marmara Strategic and Social Studies Group, who is on visit to Baku.

It should be mentioned that Turkey and Armenia carry out flights twice a week.

Suver stated that the flights were carried out by a private company. These flights are carried out by a private Turkish company. The communications are not relevant to Turkish government, she stressed.

She noted that the rights of the Turkish citizens of Armenian origin must be also ensured. These citizens use services of private business to establish ties with relatives in Armenia, Suver underlined. She said that the head of the company is a Turkish citizen of Armenian origin.
