Mazahir Panahov, the chair of the Azerbaijani Central Elections Committee (CEC) will pay a visit to Hungary from 7 to 10 April 2006 at the invitation by Zoltan Totun, the Secretary General of the Association of Central and Eastern European Election Officials (ACEEEO), the CEC told Trend.
The goal of the visit is to observe over the course of the parliamentary elections in Hungary on 9 Appril, as well as discuss the perspective of the further cooperation between the organization and CEC.
It should be mentioned that the organization, founded in Hungary, focuses on improvement of democratic processes, as well as assists to specialization of elected establishments.
The organization includes elections bodies from 21 countries. CEC is a member of ACEEEO from 2001 and closely cooperates with the organization.
