Azeri president accepts credentials from new Lithuanian Amb to Azerbaijan
Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani President, accepted credentials from Vyatautas Naudazis, the new Lithuanian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Azerbaijan, on Thursday in Baku.
During the meeting the Lithuanian diplomat voiced satisfaction with appointment to Azerbaijan, Trend reports. He noted that the bilateral relations were advancing steadily. According to Naudazis, the Azerbaijani community of Lithuania plays active part in the public life of the country.
The head of the country said the bilateral relations successfully developed in different spheres, including, within the European Union and other international organizations.
Aliyev touched upon the meeting with his Lithuanian counterpart Valdas Adamkus and expressed assurance in the further expansion of the bilateral relations.
