Halaf Halafov: There will be no Azerbaijani Turkmen consultations at the Caspian Status commission `s meeting

No questions regarding the Kyapayaz oil field, disputed between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, will be discussed at the meeting of the joint work group on the Caspian Sea Legal status in Ashgabat, the Azerbaijan vice-Foreign minister, Halaf Halafov told Trend.

No consultation on that question will be held, he said, reminding that negotiations will be held between 5 countries. Parts of the Convention project on the Caspian status will be discussed. No bilateral negotiations are scheduled within the frames of the given convention, he concluded.

Kyapyaz oil field (Sardar in Turkmen) is a point of dispute between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan for a long time.
