Lithuania is interested in the development of the relations with Azerbaijan, Vyatautas Nauduzas, the Lithuanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, stated at a meeting with Ogtay Asadov, the speaker of the Milli Majlis on Friday, Trend reports.
According to Asadov, Lithuania highly appreciates the part of Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus region. He said that Valdas Adamkus, the Lithuanian President, will pay an official visit to Baku soon. The visit will open a new page in the development of the Azerbaijani-Lithuanian cooperation, Nauduzas stressed.
In his turn, Asadov expressed satisfaction with the level of the bilateral cooperation. During the conversation the sides discussed some issues representing mutual interest.
