John Born, a senior auditor of the National Audit Office (NAO), held a meeting with representatives of some economically-oriented countries in Azerbaijan on 6 April, Trend reports.
Attending the meeting of the Accountancy Chamber of Azerbaijan were representatives and senior officials of Ministries of Taxes, Finances, the State Committee on Public Property, the Chamber of Auditors, non-governmental organizations, foreign companies active in this sector.
Addressing to the presentation on major directions of the audit in some spheres of the UK, Born touched upon the issues on prevention of facts of corruption and necessity for transparency, results of auditor measures.
According to Born, parallel check-ups by the NAM jointly with the Accountancy Chamber of Azerbaijan are not excluded. If the sides come to such a decision, it could be included in the action plan, he underlined.
Borns working visit started on 5 March.
