The next GUAM summit (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova) is expected to be held on May 22-23 in Kiev, the Ukrainian ambassador, Stepan Volkovetzki told Trend.
He said that this date has already been offered to all countries including Azerbaijan. Change of the structure, organization activity and institutionalization of GUAM
are planned to be discussed at the meeting. The high level meetings of the member-states in order to agree on the meeting` s final agenda and documents will be held before the summit.
GUAM was created in 1997, Uzbekistan joined the organization in 1999 and then it has received its current name. the last GUAM summit was held on April 2005. It was decided during that summit to make GUAM more full scale regional structure with the head office and other bodies .
