Azeri Prosecutor General's Office addresses to Georgian counterparts

The Azerbaijani Prosecutor Generals Office addressed to the Georgian Prosecutor Generals Office to hand over Azer Samadov, the head of the Center of Defense of Religion and Liberty of Conscience, who was arrested in Tbilisi in early April, to Azerbaijan, Trend

reports citing Vugar Aliyev, the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor Generals Office.

At present the Georgian Prosecutor Generals Office get familiar with the documents. The Prosecutor general believes in urgent extradition of Samadov. Then investigation on some items of the Criminal Code and trial waits for him.

Samedov is accused of active participation in the 16 October 2003 occurrences. He was wanted in the territory of the CIS countries.

It should be mentioned that 11 court sentences were totally made in relation to the 16 October 2006 occurrences. Several more people are wanted beyond the country.
