The Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation member in the Council of Europe (CE), Rafael Huseynov has prepared the project of the report that will soon be discussed at the PACE meeting, Huseynov told to the Trend correspondent in Strasbourg.

The report is called Condition of the historical and cultural Azerbaijani monuments on the Armenian territory. The report provides thorough information about the historical and cultural monuments located at the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh and adjacent Azerbaijani districts occupied by Armenian separatists. It contains information about the percentage coefficient in the ethnic population of Nagorno-Karabakh and gives exact description and historical value of all monuments at the occupied territory.

It particularly mentions more than 2.000 ancient human monuments near

the Byakhmedli village of the Agdam district, world famous Azikh cave, located at the territory of the occupied Fizuli district, the stone book made approximately 1.000 years ago near Nuvendi district (Megrin district of modern day Armenia) all are well known around the world.

Despite most of the cultural monuments have already been destroyed there is a hope that some of them still remained. It is important to save and restore what is still left as these monuments are not only of regional but of all-European and world importance.

Huseynov suggested conducting a monitoring on historical and cultural monuments at the Armenian territories and prepare a special document on that issue.
