All cultural and historic monuments existing in Azerbaijan are under state security, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated on 13 April in a public meeting in Shaki, north Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
Voicing his attitude towards the statements by Armenia on the destruction of historic monuments in Armenia, Aliyev underlined that such accusations were barefaced lie and does not correspond to reality. There is tolerance in Azerbaijan and representatives of different nations live in peace.
President noted the functioning of the Orthodox Church, Jewish Synagogue in the country and the plans of opening of a Catholic Church in the country shortly. However, the Moslem churches, cemeteries and monuments located in the Armenian-occupied Azerbaijani lands have been fully destroyed, which was also confirmed by the OSCE mission, Aliyev underlined.
He underlined that in difference to its neighbors Azerbaijan does not live at the expense of the assistance out and no one interfere its internal policy.
