Many issues will be discussed at the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit in Baku, the presidential apparatus foreign affairs head, Novruz Mammedov told Trend.
Such issues as economy, politics, security or regional and international character will be discussed at the meeting and positions of different sides on these matters will be clarified, he said.
Mammedov noted that 2006 has been particularly important year fro Azerbaijan- increased attention from international organizations, other countries. This is all related to the increase of the Azerbaijani influence in the region and in world, he also reminded about the visits of Russian and Turkish presidents and future visits of Korean and Lithuanian presidents.
The increase of Azerbaijani influence in the regions also can be seen in the fact that it hosts such conferences as ECO and Islamic Organization conference, Mamedov said.
