Lieutenant General Eldar Mahmudov, the Azerbaijani National Security minister, received the Turkish Interior Minister, Abdulkadir Aksu, on Wednesday evening, Trend reports. The Minister informed about the work done for ensuring security, protection of stability and crime enforcement in the country.
Mahmudov spoke about the measures taken for neutralization of organized transnational criminal groups having close contacts with the international terror groups, as well as Azerbaijans sequential role in anti-terror coalition as an active participant.
The Minister informed the guest about the criminal situation the region, factors affecting it, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and negative outcomes of the non-control areas.
The Turkish Interior Minister announced that such meetings assumed special importance in the definition of perspectives of development of cooperation between the relevant bodies of the two countries in fighting traditional crime, including international terror.
