Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) observational mission delegation will continue their meetings with heads of political structures and organization in Azerbaijan. The observational mission head, Leo Platvoed met with the coordinator of the council for free and just elections, Arzu Abdullayeva on April 28, Trend reports.
Re-run parliamentary elections, preparation for election and pre-electoral situation in the country were discussed, Abdullayeva told. Platvoed was particularly interested in conditions created for candidates and in what way the situation changed after the last elections.
Despite existing laws, candidates were not provided with the free air time on TV, educational works are lame, she said. She assured the PACE representative that her organization will continue keeping track over the elections and submit the final report to the international structures, including CE.
The coordination Council chairman and retired officers consultative head chairman, Yashar Jaffarli also took part at the meeting.
