A training seminar aimed at modifying electoral practice in Azerbaijan held on May 2 in Baku. Representatives from presidential apparatus, executive officials from 5 out of 10 regions of Azerbaijan, hosting rerun parliamentary elections, police officials and representatives of judicial bodies took part at the conference organized by the Baku office of International Fund of Electoral Systems (IFES).
Participants of the meeting discussed opportunities of modifying electoral practice and consolidation of efforts in order to carry out transparent and democratic elections. Special attention will be paid to implementing two presidential decrees on modifying the electoral practice in the country.
It was noted that all attempts to violate the electoral process will be prevented.
