Today in Baku, within the official visit of Korean president Roh Moo-Hyun to Azerbaijan, presidents of Azerbaijan and Korea signed a memorandum on principles of cooperation and mutual relations.
Trend reports the presidents also signed the memorandum of mutual understanding in spheres of IT and communication, industry and power engineering, emergency response and transport. Agreements for cooperation in culture and air transport have been signed as well.
In his speech, Azeri president mentioned discussion of many relationship spheres, like policy, economy, culture. The talks, he said, came very fruitful.
В"I feel confidence in even greater sped of our relationships progressingВ", Ilham Aliyev said.
Azeri president said Azerbaijan is concerned with mutual relationships. However, strong political relations call for solid economic basis. В"The agreements signed cover all spheres of economy. Following todays meeting of Azeri and Korean businessmen, I am waiting for some specific projects and proposalsВ",- Aliyev said.
First of all, this relates to designs in energy and infrastructure spheres. В"We all have interest and will in these spheres of concernВ",- President added.
The possibilities for Azeri-Korean cooperation appeared to be much broader than we ever expected, said Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun, adding he got assured in Azerbaijans bright future.
В"Korean businessmen shall use all emerging opportunities. Everyone to partake in this cooperation will benefit as the potential for these relations is really hugeВ",- Korean President stressed.
