Korean president visits Azeri parliament

Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun visited Milli Majlis on 12 May. President Roh Moo-Hyun and Azeri Speaker Oktai Asadov had one-to-one, but later the talks were held in large, Trend reports.

Speaker appreciated the visit and attributed it as successful and efficient. He also noted the importance of bilateral documents signed in Baku, which provide necessary normative basis for full development of relationships between Azerbaijan and Korea.

Asadov voiced his confidence that after President Roh Moo-Hyuns visit to Baku the businessmen will set up broad entrepreneurship activities in Azerbaijan. The visit will serve to expansion of goods turnover between the two countries, which is not satisfactory at preset. Asadov underlined the importance for development of Azerbaijani-Korean inter-parliamentary relationships.

Roh Moo-Hyun underlined that Korea takes necessary efforts for development of friendship and efficient cooperation with Azerbaijan. The documents signed provide necessary basis, the Korean leader said, noting that the work over development of other bilateral documents is underway.
