The CE Ministerial Committee has voiced its satisfaction with the positive assessment made by the Parliamentary Assembly of the rerun of the parliamentary elections in ten constituencies in Azerbaijan on 13 May, which was a prelude to future major elections in this country in its 116th session n Strasbourg
Discussing the conduct of transparent democratic elections they noted the necessity of reconsideration of the Azerbaijani Elections Code, in particular, active cooperation with the CE Venice Commission.
To guarantee the conduct of overall democratic elections the Ministerial Committee notes the demand for reconsideration of the Azerbaijani legislation through cooperation with the CE Venice Commission, the ministers underlined.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will participate in the gathering.
