Azeri President: Energy cooperation issue will dominate at GUAM summit

Energy cooperation issue will dominate at GUAM summit, reportedly said Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan Republic, upon his arrival to Kiev.

Alongside, he said, "there will be no new energy projects to speak of". These issues are currently being discussed and "will dominate at the summit", - said President Aliyev.

Trend reports with reference to RIA-Novosti, Azeri President considers the

summit promoting the modification of organization management.

"GUAM organization acquires new forms, is progressing rapidly, and Kiev summit is very significant in a view of further upgrade of organization management", - Aliyev added.

"I hope the summit will boost our relationships, especially since they are so versatile and cover all spheres, like policy, economy, energy security and transport communications", - Azeri President concluded.

GUAM summit is held May 22 to 23 in Kiev with participation of presidents, PMs and FMs of all member-countries. GUAMs transformation into an intentional organization is to be approved at the meeting of heads of states on Tuesday.
