One of these days, the activity of the electoral block Yeni Siyaset (New Policy) will officially be dismissed due to the completion of the repeat parliamentary elections, Eldar Namazov, the co-founder of the block informed Trend.
He noted that the block established last year to participate in the parliamentary election didnt stop its activity due to the repeat parliamentary election held on May 13, 2006. One part of block members decided to participate in the repeat elections, and therefore, we decided to expect up to the end of the repeat elections, and after the repeat elections, to stop the activity of the block. In the near future, a decision will be made on this issue. Then, the question to transfer the block Yeni Siyaset from electoral block to political one will be discussed.
According to Namazov, Coordinating Council of the block will hold a meeting this week where this question will find its solution. Besides, Namazov stressed that then, there might be made changes to the composition of the block. The working group has developed a proposal on transformation of the organization into a political block.
