On June 27, Azeri president Ilham Aliyev received outstanding musician Herby Hancoock.
Aliyev noted that the conducting of the jazz festival in Azerbaijan and participation of Hancoock in the festival is a great event in the cultural life of Azerbaijan. According to Aliyev, Azeri culture possesses rich traditions, and the development of this sphere is always paid a special attention.
Hancoock noted that it is his first visit to Azerbaijan. He mentioned the good organization of the jazz festival and that the state support to the development of Azeri culture made a fine impression on him.
