Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli will pay a working visit to Azerbaijan on July 4. One of the key issues during the visit will be dedicated to talks on additional volume of gas from the Shah-Deniz field for Georgia.
According to Nogaideli, the experts from Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey have completed the work on Georgias receiving additional gas from the project of Baku-Tbilisi-Arzurum gas pipe, special correspondent of Trend in Tbilisi reports. On June 16-17, the experts discussed in Tbilisi the proposals of Georgian side which touches on Georgias purchase of at least 1,5 billion cubic meters of natural gas at a reduced price from 2007 from South Caucasus gas pipe.
Yet the conclusion of experts is unclear, but it is clear that it will be presented to the presidents of each three countries and relevant ministers. According to the information of the Georgian Ministry of Energy, this question will be discussed by the presidents of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey at the meeting scheduled for 13 July in Turkey.
After the visit to Azerbaijan, the Georgian prime minister will leave for Turkey where he will hold analogical talks. Georgia hopes that it will be able to increase its share at the expense of Turkey.
