WB approves 3 credits worth $100m

The World Bank (WB) approved three credits for the Republic of Azerbaijan for the total amount of over USD 100 million, the WB told Trend.

These credits are for the Health Sector Reform Project (USD 50 million equivalent), Judicial Modernization Project (USD 21.6 million equivalent) and Second Agricultural Development and Credit Project (USD 28.5 million equivalent).

The credits have been provided on terms and conditions of the International Development Association, a part of the World Bank Group providing concessional lending to developing countries. These projects target areas which are critical for further reforms and growth in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan joined the World Bank in 1992. Since then, commitments to the country total approximately US$ 811 million for 32 operations.
