Coordination Council В"For free and fair electionВ" is going to monitor municipal elections taking place in October 2006 and simultaneous votes counting, Trend reports quoting Arzu Abdullayva, coordinator of the Council.
Based on elections observations, the council will compile a report and conclusions.В"Our methodology includes such questions as leading a complex monitoring of elections, creation of relevant opportunities for observers work at the higher level, trainings for them and so on. These methodologies are grounded and meet all requirements of lawВ", Abdullayeva said.
Abullayeva also said these elections are in the center of attention of the Council of Europe. She said she is maintaining contact with Skard Haward, chairman of the congress of Local and Regional Authorities, and is going to work together with this Congress at elections.
